medina | jacksonville homecoming photography
Military homecomings are a pretty regular thing in Jacksonville. Some are quite small and some are quite large spanning several days. The 24th MEU is one of the ones that spans several days. It has many different units and ships coming home around the same time. Some of them come home on buses from the port, and some get to come home on Osprey’s and helicopters. This particular homecoming of the 24th MEU was a wingside one in which they get to come home by flying in.
Meet the Medina family. They have been waiting for this day for over seven months. The boys are so excited to see their daddy! The Osprey’s and helicopters are just a bonus!
And here they come, almost HOME!
Patiently awaiting for the aircraft to land and for daddy to offload.
And they are off!
Finally, together again. You can’t beat holding the ones you love after almost eight long months.
Thank you to the Medina family for allowing me to be your homecoming photographer, it has been an honor.
