Hi gang! Welcome back to my blog.
I always love photographing weddings. There’s so much love in the air and the bride and groom spent so much time carefully planning all the details. It was not any different for Mark & Joslynn’s wedding, either!
The wedding and the reception was at The Paradise Point Officer’s Club and was catered by the MCCS staff. They danced to their first song Think Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, which was played by DJ Andrea Hickman and Kaye Elizalde.
A few more people that helped their wedding go off without a hitch was:
Cake Maker: Susie Monteney
Where Dress was Purchased: David’s Bridal of Wilmington | http://www.davidsbridal.com/
Caterer: MCCS | http://www.mccslejeune-newriver.com/oclub/index.html
Hair: Amy Batson with Colors Salon | https://www.facebook.com/ColorsSalonJAXNC
The details of the wedding were amazing and we got to do a first look.
After the first look we headed off to take some photos of just the bride and groom. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting for wedding portraits. When I asked Joslynn what her favorite part of the wedding was, she said, “The private reveal was one of my favorites. As well as our first kiss. I was so excited I ended up grabbing his face to pull him in for a kiss faster! I enjoyed the dancing. Overall, I enjoyed the entire wedding because it was exactly as I wanted it: fun and entertaining.”
The ceremony was elegant and lit beautifully by white Christmas lights and the sun setting in the background.
I asked them how they met and Joslynn told me “On a Dating Site 2 days before we met in person and started dating the day we met, December 17, 2013. Our wedding was on the day of our one year anniversary together.”
Right now Mark is stationed in Japan so I also asked her how he purposed to her. She said, “Due to him being stationed in Okinawa, Japan at the time, he proposed over FaceTime one night. He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring and everything.”
You could really tell they were enjoying every minute of their special day surrounded by family and friends who love them.
